Advanced Equipment Corporation delivered a tri-system operable partition installation across 12,979 square feet at the Costa Rica Convention Center in Heredia, designed by Gensler. Completed in 2017, the project combines three distinct systems to provide maximum spatial flexibility for Costa Rica's premier international events facility.
The primary system — manual remote ALPHA 'U' panels on #8 Super Track — enables large-scale ballroom subdivision, with panels storing compactly when the full floor is needed and deploying quickly for banquet, conference, or exhibition configurations. A second manual system uses remote-operated SIGMA 'E' panels on #1A track to handle mid-size breakout rooms along the facility's perimeter corridors.
The third system provides electric operation via ALPHA 'X' panels on #1 track, offering motorized control for frequently reconfigured spaces. All three systems are finished in standard vinyl, maintaining a consistent, clean aesthetic throughout the convention floor while meeting the demanding acoustic and operational standards of a world-class venue.
