Operation
Manual — Remote Stack
Advanced Equipment Corporation designed and installed a manual remote-stack operable partition system at the Centro Deportivo of Universidad Católica in Santiago, Chile — covering 2,642 square feet of the university's premier sports and multipurpose facility. The installation required panels that could seamlessly follow the building's striking curved concrete arch ceiling, a defining architectural feature of the complex.
The system uses SIGMA 'E' panels on a #2 track in standard vinyl finish, with remote pocket door stacking that keeps the full floor area clear when the space is open. Two contrasting panel finishes — warm beige and dark charcoal — provide visual variety while dividing the hall into flexible zones for training, events, and university functions.
This project demonstrates Advanced Equipment's capability to engineer partition systems that conform to non-standard architectural geometries, delivering a clean, high-performance result in one of South America's most architecturally distinguished university sports facilities.
